In the second of a series of short blog posts, we look at beautiful venues where we are a Recommended Supplier, and give our advice on the types of arrangements that work well in that setting.

Today, we are exploring Pylewell Park, near Lymington (New Forest).

Pylewell Park has the holy grail combination of features for a wedding venue: a stunning stately home, beautiful grounds with views right down to the sea, and a fabulous purpose-built pavilion to hold wedding receptions with seated capacity of 150.

In this late August wedding, florals were integral to the overall look and feel of the wedding.

Adele and Gemma provided and arranged our flowers for our wedding day in June. We were honestly speechless and loved everything they did for us. The arrangements we wanted were no easy task and the skill, effort and attention to detail was just incredible. I was so overwhelmed when I saw what they’d achieved I had a big cry, everything was just perfect and really brought our venue to life.

Thank you so much for playing such a big part of our day! We loved the flowers and lots of staff at the Potters Heron also commented on how lovely they were. - Kat, April 2022

“We thought it was about the flowers. We know it’s about the people.”

In 2019, we both were seeking change and retrained as florists, originally just as a hobby. We subsequently left corporate jobs; Adele took voluntary redundancy, and Gemma went on adoption leave. We soon realised, separately, that the corporate world no longer suited us and we pursued our passion for flowers by setting up floristry businesses- entirely unaware of the other and only 4 miles apart.

After a chance meeting via Instagram, we went on to support each other, working for each other over two years. We finally realised in 2023 that we were stronger and happier together so in April 2023 we formed Fig and Bramble Ltd.

Adele, a former environmental manager, brings her expertise in sustainable, environmentally- sympathetic floristry to the company, whilst Gemma, a former solicitor, brings a sharp attention to detail and great organisational skills.
