About Pylewell Park in Lymington, Hampshire

Pylewell Park is a gem of a wedding venue, less than two hours from London but worlds away in its peaceful and picturesque surroundings.

Situated in the heart of the New Forest, this exclusive-use venue spans 27 acres of beautifully kept gardens, a 15-acre lake, and boasts private access to the beach - yes, really!

The ceremony spaces are one of the standout features here, especially the stunning licensed sail structure that overlooks the sea. It’s a gorgeous option for an outdoor ceremony, with views that stretch endlessly across the water.

For the reception, the stylish pavilion provides a versatile space for a seated wedding breakfast of up to 150 guests. It’s bright, spacious, and effortlessly stylish, perfect for both classic and contemporary wedding flower designs.

When it comes to accommodation, Pylewell Park doesn’t disappoint. The main house, available for exclusive use, includes ten beautifully appointed bedrooms, plus a three-bedroom penthouse ideal for the bridal party.

Beyond the venue itself, Lymington offers a variety of lovely places to stay, making it easy for guests to find something that suits them!

But what truly sets Pylewell Park apart is its relaxed, flexible approach to weddings. The team really make you feel like it’s your home for the day, encouraging couples to create a celebration that feels personal and unique, rather than being confined by rigid packages. It’s a space that feels both luxurious and wonderfully welcoming.

E&J’s Wedding Ceremony Flowers

For E&J’s ceremony at Pylewell Park, I wanted the wedding flowers to feel as though they belonged to the landscape, enhancing the venue’s sea views and countryside surroundings rather than competing with them. The design leaned heavily into a meadow-inspired, garden-led aesthetic that celebrated the beauty of the season.

Low, sprawling arrangements lined the aisle, their shapes soft and organic, with plenty of wispy stems and gentle movement. Instead of towering installations, the flowers were kept grounded and intimate, the ground meadow purposefully in line with the old wall allowed for views of the sea whilst framing the couple in a way that felt natural and romantic. The colour palette was equally soft and elegant — creamy whites, blush and peach tones, buttery yellows, and delicate touches of fresh greenery.

Everything was designed to look effortless, as though the flowers had grown right where they were meant to be. I focused on creating a sense of seasonality, with varied textures and shapes that added depth without feeling overdone.

Against the open sky and the peaceful backdrop of the sea, the result of the wedding flower arrangements was something really special — light, airy, and full of life!

E&J’s Wedding Reception Flowers

Moving inside for the reception, the wedding flowers continued to tell that same story of modern romance and natural beauty but with a touch of candlelit warmth for the evening.

The centrepieces were designed to feel stylish yet relaxed, sitting low enough to encourage conversation while still adding that magical floral presence to each table.

I kept the arrangements deliberately loose and asymmetrical, softening the look with flowing greenery and delicate clusters of seasonal blooms.

Long banquet-style tables were dressed with a curated mix of ceramic bud vases and low bowls running down the middle, punctuated by more abundant floral accents at either end to create a sense of balance.

The outside ceremony ground meadow was repurposed in the pavillion, sitting higher on the heater covers to provide a gorgeous backdrop to the newly weds and for speeches.

The overall atmosphere was one of refined simplicity, enhanced by the glow of candles scattered throughout the room.

Even the cake had its moment, styled with a few thoughtfully placed blooms to tie it into the day’s overall aesthetic. Wedding flowers for the cake was understated but impactful — a design that elevated the space without ever feeling overbearing!

My Approach to Wedding Floristry

For me, floristry is so much more than just arranging wedding flowers. It’s about telling a story, enhancing a moment, and creating an atmosphere that feels personal to each couple.

I’m not one for stiff formality…I like to keep things down to earth and approachable, which is probably why I connect so well with my clients. Weddings are such an important day, and I want every couple I work with to feel like their vision is truly understood and brought to life.

Nature is at the heart of what I do, and I take a lot of inspiration from the seasons and the landscapes around me. My style tends towards the wildly romantic — those loose, organic florals that feel effortless and full of life.

I believe flowers should enhance a setting, not overwhelm it, which is why I focus on creating designs that feel fresh, natural, and perfectly suited to the space.

There’s nothing more rewarding than seeing everything come together on the day, knowing the couple’s vision has been realised. It’s the people and the connections that make this job so special, and I pour everything into making sure each wedding is as perfect as it can be!
