What bridal bouquet style should I choose?

Writer's picture: Fig & BrambleFig & Bramble

Your options for a fresh flower bridal bouquet are as limitless as your love story. It may feel overwhelming to decide on your bouquet; allow your florist to be your guide in this enchanting process. Sharing images of your wedding dress, along with a few key details such as your height, can be incredibly helpful: think of your bouquet as a key part of your outfit, rather than something that is being carried in addition to your outfit.

In this article, we explore different bouquets, all in our 'wildly romantic' style, and how they work for each bride:

Classic but natural

All whites and greens are the ultimate classic: here, soft jasmine tendrils and dancing cosmos has kept the bouquet light and seasonal to complement the bride's elegant look.

Soft and romantic

This is a modern favourite in a soft rounded shape, kept quite dainty to accentuate the nipped waist of the bride's gown. Fabulous David Austin roses and locally grown delicate touches made this a scented and beautiful bouquet.

Colourful and dreamy

This bride was a designer and illustrator, so her stand out bouquet was designed to showcase her personality and incredible vintage dress. She didn't like roses, so we used a combination of alternative locally grown blooms for an intricate bouquet:

Relaxed pastels

This bouquet was made in a relaxed country garden style to reflect the bride's personality and fun, informal day. It was filled with sweet peas for incredible scent.

Dramatic and elongated

For a dramatic, impactful look, a horizontally-elongated design looks incredible. It allows the bouquet to become a real showstopper and here the deep tones mirrored the bride's hair and makeup choices.

Textural and cascading

This bouquet was designed to create a statement against the bride's very simple, refined gown. The Autumn setting meant we could use textural foliage for interest, and a softly cascading look- a very long way from the 1980s cascades!
